Good Morning, The folks who brought the BEC's menu to my attention asking about bringing maybe one item of thiers to ours maybe once a month checked in with me asking if that was possible. I told them it may not be, but I'd rather hear it from you so I can speak confidently about that. The same folks asked about the 0445 opening. I told them I have no answer for the BEC to open 15 minutes earlier. If you could share that, I will share it with them. What a great way to start the week, on Saturday I tried the Bruschetta Bar and it was FABULOUS, they had a hand full of options and I chose the cream cheese and beets...with all the toppings! It was outstanding! Really good presentation, texture, flavor! Folks came to me sharing thier delight for the Carrot Cake on the side of the icecream. Bake Shop continues to impress! On Sunday the Beef Sukiyaki, the Pork Chop Italiano, Fried Egg Plant and the Baked Sweet Potato...what a great meal all the way around. Beef tender and tasty, the pork chop beautifully prepared and great flavor! I would suggest frying a little longer the Fried Egg Plant, but good and served nice and hot! The Baked sweet potato is always a great choice! On Monday I had and shared a Marlboro Man Sandwich and everyone gobbled it down, it was tasty, it was served hot off the grill and delicious! Beautifully done! The Bread, the Meat, the taste!! On Tuesday BDSC Served up the three cheese turkey pene bake and as always the pasta is perfect! Just a bite to it, really, really good! The Pork Chop could have used a "SIGN" "SPICY"....it was a Cajun Crusted Pork Chop, close to a five alarm spice....for those who don't enjoy spicy food, ensuring the spicy sign is up would be most helpful and appreciated. Gave the Club Sandwich a whirl, shared it and everyone enjoyed it....excellent sandwich! On Wednesday, we had one more 5 alarm spicy with the Roasted Garlic Chicken....again, no spicy sign. The zucchini was well prepared. On Thursday, I went back to the hot dog stand, and it was SO GOOD. An all beef hot dog on a steamed bun with NO BEAN CHILI, my personal favorite, it was the BOMB! So tasty, hot and delicious....by the way...2 people came to me talking about hot dogs on the grill inside. They were complaining about the bun too big for the dog and the bun is not soft. These dogs don't run through the toaster, or are steamed so if they are coming out of the freezer /cooler, they are still hard and that is what these men were complaining about. Maybe we could order or make smaller hot dog buns to fit the dog on the grill? Just asking. I would like to suggest if possible the dog on the grill get cut, maybe slice the dog flat as some folks enjoy a grilled dog. It was suggested the Chicken Salad sandwich be cut up in smaller pieces. And that the core of the tomato be cut out. That came from a couple of people who eat out of the sandwich shop most of the time. Well, that is it for this week at BDSC Cafeteria. Thank everyone for all the work, patience, kindness and professionalism they display day in and day out!

  • I was distracted from my final thought. BDSC Finished the Week with a BANG! They had the most delicous CHOCOLATE cookies and placed chunky monkey ice-cream in the middle making a good old fashioned ice cream sandwich...Holy Toledo, it was good, it was so tasty and the ice cream so creamy! What a treat and a great way to come to an end of a week! As I've said before BDSC does a great job in the bake shop, the cookies were on point, and the idea of putting the ice cream and cookies together, BRAVO! I know it made alot of folks very happy, so thank you once again.... Wishing everyone a great day! Always, V/R EndFragment
